Beauty is as Beauty Does

Reprinted here from my Instagram account @gerard.lynne I have a number of ditties I have written to inspire me to choose to behave in ways that are mindful and edifying. Some of these I have put on my fine art cards and others I use in my Oracle of the Raven cards (more on those in a post later this week). It is very easy to be kind when the world we encounter is non-threatening - but when things are going very badly and people are behaving in odious ways - what is an appropriate way to respond? Anger serves a role, but most times it is a knee-jerk reaction that does harm to others and ourselves. Anger is a type of pain and as Nisargadatta says, “pain is a call for attention”. So I think about wh
